The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is already one of the most capable pickup trucks on the planet from the factory. And that’s to say nothing of the incredible aftermarket support that can be found for this midsized pickup truck. One of the most recognizable companies that supports the Colorado ZR2 is American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), which has recently announced two new accessories for the popular pickup package. The first item is a front receiver unit that’s meant for the 2021+ model year front fascia update, while the second is a new winch cradle carrier that mounts in the pickup bed.

According to AEV, the new front receiver for the 2021 Colorado ZR2 allows for the mounting of a front winch without the need to replace the entire lower fascia of the truck, which has been made more difficult to do since the visual update. It attaches directly to the front frame rails, and is estimated to need just two hours of installation time, without needing major modifications.

The second accessory that was recently announced from American Expedition Vehicles is an in-bed winch cradle carrier. This accessory will fit on any 2015+ Chevrolet Colorado or GMC Canyon, and supplements the front receiver upgrade by allowing the separately sold winch and cradle accessory to be stored securely in the truck bed. After all, what’s stopping anybody from stealing that shiny new Warn from the front of the truck?

The AEV 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 in-bed winch cradle carrier is mounted vertically at the forward-most part of the bed above the wheel well, and its orientation allows for the heavy winch and cradle to be “rocked” in and out of its locked position. However, the carrier is optimized specifically for the Warn Multi-Mount Winch Carrier #89990, so for those interested, be sure to take note.

The 2021 Chevrolet Colorado in-bed winch carrier from American Expedition Vehicles commands a price of $250 USD, while the front receiver asks $599 USD. The prices do no include installation. Other 2021 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 accessories from AEV include High-Mark fender flares, a snorkel, various underbody protection, wheels, a vertical tire mount, as well as total AEV Colorado ZR2 and AEV Bison packages.
