The Dodge Charger continues to age with grace for the 2021 model year as America’s only four door muscle car. It occupies an interesting place in the market, slightly different to its two door muscle car competition, but still a muscle car through and through. It’s also slightly different to its German super sedan equivalents, which can’t match it on power, price or presence. And we found it hangs with them in more than a straight line, too. With the changes coming to the 2021 Charger, Dodge has updated their online configurator, with the most prominent addition being the Hellcat Redeye.

For 2021, Dodge finally gave their Hellcat sedan the Redeye treatment, boosting output to 797 hp. It doesn’t look different from the “regular” Charger Hellcat Widebody, but does get a unique lightweight wheel design. The other upgrades, apart from the power boost, are the SRT Power Chiller System and an insane 203 mph top speed. There’s really no faster way to get the kids to school, let alone under $100,000. The 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye starts at $78,595 with most options already included, so it maxes out the Charger range in the mid-$80,000 ballpark depending on options.

The non-Redeye Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody also gets some subtle tweaks for 2021, namely an extra 10 hp squeezed out of its 6.2 liter supercharger Hemi V8, resulting in 717 hp. It also gets the refreshed hood design first introduced on the Redeye, which boosts airflow and cooling. The 2021 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody starts at $69,995.

Other updates in the model range are more minor. Both Hellcat models and Widebody Skat Pack Chargers now get standard SRT branding on their Brembo brakes as standard, as well as a new instrument panel badge. The upgraded 6 piston Brembo stoppers with the SRT logo are optional on non-Widebody Skat Pack models with the  $2,295 Performance Package, which also brings 20 inch black wheels, more aggressive all-season performance tires and a leather wrapped flat bottom steering wheel. Finally, 20 inch aluminum wheels are now standard on GT AWD and optional on SXT AWD models.

As always, the 2021 Dodge Charger lineup has an expansive color palette with some bold hues, and many stripe, graphics and wheel options to personalize your muscle car. Have a poke around their updated configurator and let us know what you come up with in the comments down below, or if you’d rather take the two-door Challenger, who’s configurator was also just updated for 2021.
