2021 FORD BRONCO FIRST EDITION PHOTOGRAPHED IN LIGHTNING BLUE

It’s Blue. Very Blue.

2021 Ford Bronco First Edition Blue

Even though the 2021 Ford Bronco hasn’t officially entered production, and won’t until a delayed summer launch, we’ve seen it in just about every available color. But one has remained illusive, until now: Lightning Blue. This bright hue will only be available on the limited run Ford Bronco First Edition, and will probably only be around for one year, considering the color palette will be changed up for 2022. The Bronco Nation has managed to catch a pre-production Lightning Blue Bronco leaving the production line, marking the first time we’ve seen this exclusive color.

But that’s not the only blue on this Ford Bronco. In addition to the exterior color, the interior of this two door example is finished in Navy Pier vinyl leather, a dark blue and grey design. That makes this a very blue Bronco, but if it’s a little too much for you, Ford is expected to offer an all-black leather interior option.

While this is a pre-production Ford Bronco First Edition, it’s missing a few key components that come with the special edition model. First Edition Broncos come with the front brush guard as standard, and this model doesn’t have it installed yet. They also get an exclusive graphics package on the hood and doors. While we don’t have a good look at the hood in the images, there aren’t any stripes on the doors. Plus, the First Edition badge is missing from the door. This means Bronco model stickers and anything else exclusive to trim levels may get installed at a different location than the Michigan Assembly Plant.

With the wide array of colors available on the 2021 Ford Bronco, does seeing Lighting Blue in the metal make it a new favorite? Let us know what color you’d spec for your Bronco in the comments below, or what colors you hope make an appearance for the 2022 model year.
