The 2021 Ram 1500 is already an appealing truck, but a new limited edition model should make it even more desirable. And while many limited editions are only limited in the name, only 250 examples of the 2021 Ram 1500 Mopar Special Edition will be made this year, with 210 coming to America and 40 going to Canada. Here’s everything you need to know about the highly exclusive pickup, which is going to be more rare than the Ram 1500 TRX Launch Edition.

Just how rare and exclusive are we talking here? You’re more likely to see a Porsche 918, McLaren P1, and/or LaFerrari than you will one of these. An SSC Tuatara, with only 100 being made, will still be more exclusive.

The 2021 Ram 1500 Mopar Special Edition is based on the Big Horn/Lone Star trim level, which is mysteriously absent from their configurator. It appears this was a special edition based on the Big Horn trim level and sent only to Texas earlier in the 2021 model year. Now, they’re bringing it out one last time nationwide for the Mopar Edition. This means it comes equipped with black painted 20 inch wheels, grille badges and mirrors, while the bumpers, door handles and fender flares are all body colored. All 250 will also be powered by the 5.7 liter Hemi V8.

The Mopar Special Edition then adds black painted grille surround, exhaust tips and exterior badging. There are also the rad black Mopar decals you see in the images, which also goes over the included body-colored tonneau cover. Inside, you’ll find cloth seating with Light Diesel Gray stitching, embroidered Mopar seatback logos and Molle bags on back sides.

Best of all, the 2021 Ram 1500 Mopar Special Edition gets a serialized instrument panel badge with the build sequence number. You’ll know exactly which one of 250 you have. Owners will also get an exclusive box featuring a metal personalized certificate of authenticity with the build number, and a rendering of the truck made by the Mopar Design team.

The limited production truck also receives some nice accessories that aren’t exclusive to this special edition. The lineup includes black off-road running boards, a spray in bedliner with tie downs, tow hooks and rubber floor mats.

The 2021 Ram 1500 Mopar Special Edition goes on sale this summer, with the package coming in at $8,500. It will only be available at some US and Canadian Ram dealers, so we suggest contacting your dealer soon to see if they’ll be getting any, and showing interest in one of the 250 models allocated to the dealer.
