Over the past year, FCA has made it a mission to honor the members of the United States five branches of the armed forces. In order to do this, the automaker has released a branch-specific 2021 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition pickup every three months. Just before the Thanksgiving holiday, Ram pulled the cover off of their latest package intended for those who’ve served in the United States Marine Corps.
This latest 2021 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition is the fourth installment in the run, and pays respect to our maritime land force. Like the previous Big Horn-based installments, this truck will be available in two exterior paint colors specifically chosen to represent the USMC: Tank and Flame Red. FCA plans to build 1,000 trucks in each color, keeping in line with the limited availability of the other honorary models.

The 2021 Ram 1500 Built to Serve Edition features several visual adjustments that set it apart from the rest of the lineup. There is a unique front end treatment, which features an all-black grille and surround, black bumpers and black-bezel premium lighting. This blacked out theme continues with the badges, the massive wheel-to-wheel side steps, and the comically large dual four-inch exhaust tips. The truck also rides on a set of 20-inch wheels finished in an exclusive Technical Gray color, which sit below body-color wheel flares. Perhaps the most recognizable feature outside is the American Flag and “Built to Serve” graphics packages that can be found lining the rear quarter panels.
The military service themes continue inside the truck, which features a unique black interior with Medium Greystone accents. The seats are embroidered with the “Built To Serve” logo, and feature velcro panels so that a soldier’s own flag, name badge, or unit insignia can be attached for added personalization. The seat backs are also fit with a Pouch Attachment Ladder System/Modular Lightweight Load-bearing Equipment webbing for additional gear.
This latest 2021 Ram 1500 Built To Serve Edition is slated to arrive at dealer showrooms during the first quarter of 2021. The package will be available regardless of which body style or powertrain option the buyer chooses, which is a nice touch from Ram. The previous Built To Serve addition models did carry a $2,795 package price, which we expect remains the same for the Marines tribute truck. The package price does include the 4×4 Off-Road Group content as well, which we’re sure buyers won’t be upset about. If you have served the United States as a member of the Marine Corps, this is the truck that FCA wants you to have.
