The highly anticipated Cadillac Escalade-V is finally arriving this year with an outstanding 682 horsepower and 653 lb-ft of torque. The 6.2L V8 is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission which sends power to all wheels at all times. In addition, the SUV packs plenty of premium technologies to keep tech-savvy people happy, such as optional Super Cruise. But as you might have imagined, it’s not exactly for shallow pockets. In fact, it might cost more than your house, being that it’s the most expensive Cadillac yet in the brand’s 120-year history.

2023 Cadillac Escalade-V Price

The 2023 Cadillac Escalade-V will be going on sale late this summer and will have a starting MSRP of $149,990 (including destination charge). We reached out to see what the price would be for a long-wheelbase Escalade-V, as well as when we can hop on the configurator and build one, and we’ll update this space as soon as we get that information.

So, for $149,990, one could easily cross-shop a Mercedes G63 AMG (which starts at $156,450 USD), but you’ll miss out on the extra row of seats and extra power of the Escalade-V. Additionally, since we no longer have the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk or Dodge Durango Hellcat, this is the best option we have for an American performance SUV at the moment, and the most powerful three-row SUV that will be on sale when production starts this summer.

Relative to the hierarchy, the starting price for a standard 2022 Cadillac Escalade with 4WD is $80,840, which can quickly increase as more options are outfitted to the vehicle. For the Sports Platinum trim with 4WD, the current starting price is $107,240, and once again, that can increase significantly with options, of course. But this is Cadillac, and it’s best to load it up, lest the neighbors think you can barely afford it.

2023 Cadillac Escalade-V: Details

The Cadillac Escalade-V features unique V-Series front and rear fascias, quad exhaust outlets, and exclusive six-piston Brembo front brakes. The brake calipers are painted in Edge Red which can be seen behind the unique 22-inch aluminum wheels. In addition, a selectable V-Mode with driver-customizable performance settings allows the driver to lower the suspension and open the active exhaust valves to control the growl of the V8.

On the inside, the Escalade-V features a 38-inch diagonal curved OLED display with unique Escalade-V cluster graphics, an AKG audio system, and Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance tech, which won’t be available directly at launch. With all the power under the hood going to all four wheels, the SUV can sprint from 0-60 in under 4.4 seconds and has a 12.74-second quarter-mile time. Cadillac has stated that the Escalade-V is “limited,” but they haven’t yet given an exact number for how many of these super SUVs they intend on making.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
