CHRYSLER PROMISES THAT WE’LL LIKE WHAT WE “C”

But What’s Under The Hood?

It’s recently been revealed that Chrysler is working on a Special Edition vehicle to act as a finale before the brand reimagines itself. A new teaser posted on Chrysler’s Facebook page hints at what’s to come, and it’s likely the return of the Chrysler 300C. This comes with Chrysler stating, “You’re gonna like what you C,” along with another closeup photo of a wheel with a red Brembo brake caliper behind it.

2023 Chrysler 300C: Engine Speculation

With the 2023 Chrysler 300C pretty much confirmed at this point, all that’s left now is to guess what may be under the hood of one of the most powerful vehicles in Chrysler history. Now, fans are eager to see some supercharged Hellcat action, as it’s undoubtedly a potential candidate for the upcoming special edition vehicle, but the more likely option is the Apache 392 Hemi.

The 6.4-liter V8 is more familiar territory for the Chrysler 300, as it was used in the SRT from 2011 through 2015. The engine currently makes 485 horsepower in the Dodge Charger / Challenger Scat Pack models, and there’s no reason to think it would make less than that in the 300C.

The range-topping Chrysler 300 is the 300S with a 363 horsepower 5.7-liter Hemi V8 Eagle engine. So, if the 300C gets a Hellcat or 6.4-liter engine, it will undoubtedly be an excellent send for the long-running, full-size sedan that has long flown under the radar, and to the dismay of pompous auto media everywhere, refused to die.

Chrysler will reveal its new special-edition model to the world tomorrow evening, September 13, and you can get all the info on the new model here at MC&T.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
