Chevrolet is serious about selling its highly coveted Corvette Z06 that was introduced last October. The company has taken great care in its steady release of information since then providing us with a consistent and undying eagerness to learn more about the vehicle in anticipation of its release. The most recent of findings comes from a Corvette Z06 sales training quiz that targets other supercar owners, their cars, and how the Z06 can be seen as superior.
It’s interesting that Chevrolet has thought it necessary to provide such a training in the first place, given the spec sheet on the Z06 itself. It is hands-down the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 production car in automotive history. The 5.5 liter flat-plane crank V8 not only provides an orchestra of sound coming from its tailpipes but produces an astonishing 670 horsepower with a redline of 8,600 rpm. Yes, the 2022 NA Porsche 911 GT3 has a redline of 9,000 RPM, but it has a slower 0-60 time and comes in almost 170 horsepower fewer than the Z06.

Based on a dealer training presentation shared by The Truth About Cars, the Porsche 911 GT3, Ferrari F8 Tributo, Mclaren 720S, and Audi R8 were all present in the talking points. The purpose of the quiz was to educate how and where the Z06 outperforms other supercars. The Ferrari out-horsepowers the Corvette but the Z06 won’t suffer from any sort of turbo lag that’s inherent of turbocharged engines. If we were talking to a Ferrari owner, we’d simply tell them that the Corvette Z06 engineers tested a turbocharged Ferrari and quickly resold it because the car didn’t have enough soul.
If the specs weren’t enough the best bang for your buck still sits with the Z06. Priced at $160,000 for the most decked out model, the Z06 comes in well under the price tag of any of the aforementioned supercars currently cruising the roads. The only fall back the Z06 has at the moment is its lack of accessories at launch.
Class dismissed.
