FORD PERFORMANCE ADDS ARB TRACTION BOARDS TO THE CATALOG

Each Traction Board Is Sold On Its Own

Ford Performance Offering ARB Traction Boards

Off-road enthusiasts know how helpful traction boards can be for situations where a winch point isn’t readily available, or you’re only in need of additional traction. Unfortunately, there are many knock-off traction boards for you to buy, and picking the right one is up to customer discretion. But Ford Performance is now offering recovery boards to make the search a bit easier. And Ford Bronco, Ranger, and F-150 customers may want to take a closer look.

Ford Performance ARB Tred Pro Recovery Board Details

The traction boards being sold by Ford Performance are ARB TRED Pro Recovery Boards; this is the perfect recovery device to get you out of trouble when traction is hard to come by. While they are perfect for weekend excursions off the beaten path, they’re also great for Overlanding when the situations occur, and you’re potentially not near any help. The traction boards are Gun Metal Grey and feature Orange Extreme Hex Grip Nodes. In addition, they are built with EXOTRED Unique composite, which makes them extremely durable, wear-resistant, and offer a high level of flexibility.Ford Performance Offering ARB Traction Board

The teeth have a glass-filled resin to reduce premature wear from wheel spin. Lastly, the contour featured on the boards uses 4×4 tire dimensions and tread pattern data to optimize the design. Ford Performance is selling part number M-1830-RB for $320, which isn’t cheap when considering that that’s the price for just one of these traction boards.

Interestingly, this comes after discovering a patent that offers unique storage location ideas for traction boards. Rather than storing them in the vehicle or buying a mounting system for your rig, Ford has developed an idea that turns a set of traction boards into doors for the Ford Bronco or running boards for the F-150. While the patent and the new offering aren’t connected, it’s interesting to see that there could be new ways of storing your ARB Tred Pro Recovery Boards at some point in the future.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
