BRING THE BOOM WITH THE NEW FORD PERFORMANCE F-150 EXTREME EXHAUST KIT

The Extreme Exhaust doesn’t come with instructions and is not legal in all 50 states

If you’re looking to spruce up the sound and look of your 2021 or 2022 Ford F-150, Ford Performance has you covered. You can now add on a side exit exhaust system via the Extreme Exhaust system, but it isn’t legal in all 50 states (as if California doesn’t have bigger things to worry about).

Ford Performance Extreme Exhaust for 2021-2022 F-150

Ford Performance’s Extreme Exhaust system will run you just under $1,500 right at $1,495 before taxes and shipping and it doesn’t come with instructions. The website provides a picture of everything included and it appears to be a simple enough task for any do-it-yourselfer however. The Extreme Exhaust fits the 2021-2022 Ford F-150 2.7L, and 5.0L engines. You can also sport the Exhaust with Ford’s 3.5 V6 hybrid engine, that pushes out a whopping 435 horsepower as well, as long as you have a 145-inch wheelbase. You can add the system to your truck with a 157-inch wheelbase but you will need a $120 mid-pipe extension. It is important to note that the system is not compatible with wheelbases of 122-inches or 141-inches.

The Extreme Exhaust system is made in the United States and forged from 304 stainless steel and features smooth mandrel bends and warp free flanges. The dual exhaust system features a side exit look with chrome 4-inch stainless steel tips. Per Ford Performances listing, the Extreme Exhaust system will provide the most aggressive and throaty sound for the 2021-2022 F-150. The 49 state legal Exhaust system does not have “regulatory approval” in California therefore it is illegal there and nowhere else.

While you’re only able to submit an order form for the 2022 F-150 models, the 2021 Ford F-150 price and build tool is up and running on Ford’s website. The F-150 comes in eight different trim levels ranging in price from $29,290 for the base XL model all the way up to $64,145 for the Raptor.
