GMC HUMMER EV TEASES COLLABORATION WITH CALL OF DUTY NEXT

The Vehicle Will Be Revealed On September 15

GMC has recently posted a video on its Facebook page that features something no one expected. That is a Call of Duty collaboration that likely created a limited edition model. According to the post, the vehicle will be revealed on September 15 at 1 PM ET on Call of Duty Next.

The video shows a shot of a road with a view of mountains in the distance; the sun is setting and from behind the camera. We can hear a vehicle approaching quickly, the tires on the gravel, the electric whistle of the GMC Hummer EV on approach. Unfortunately, the truck flies by way too fast to get a good glimpse of it, and a large amount of dust in its wake makes it even harder to see. Out of the dust, a mask with headphones appears before fading away as the wind blows the dust to the side.

Call of Duty Next is the franchise showcase event where the open beta date times for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II will be revealed. Fans will also be able to learn more about future plans for the franchise, and as this event seems to be a big deal for fans of the first-person shooter video game, it makes sense that they would collaborate with the GMC Hummer EV. Additionally, we know the Hummer EV is being looked at to become the U.S. Army’s next vehicle, making this collaboration quite realistic and appropriate.

GMC Hummer EV: Details

The GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 can generate 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque and is capable of 350 kW or 800V DC fast charging, which enables up to nearly 100 miles of range in 12 minutes of charging. The Edition 1 offers 329 miles of combined driving range, and the vehicle can accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 3 seconds. Though, as it was recently discovered, the truck won’t be doing your wallet any favors as it will still cost a pretty penny to recharge the thing.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
