KID ROCK IS SELLING HIS 2005 FORD GT THIS WEEKEND

It Comes With A Few Extra Goodies As Well

Kid Rock Selling His 2005 Ford GT

Kid Rock has been in the news many times for all kinds of situations, some controversial. His most recent headline is rather bland if you’re looking for drama. If you’re looking for a semi-used 2005 Ford GT however, it’s right up your alley. He is selling his 2005 sports car in an upcoming RM Sotheby’s auto auction in Fort Lauderdale this weekend.

The 2005 Ford GT seems to be a favorite with celebrities, Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson sold his blue Ford GT late last year for a whopping $369,000 and Jay Leno featured a red Ford GT on his YouTube show “Jay Leno’s Garage” where he mentioned he owns the 12th production model Ford GT. Kid Rock’s GT is as visibly and mechanically clean as it gets. The vehicle has less than four-thousand miles (3,096) on it and comes with some extra goodies. Your purchase will include a poster signed by Chief Designer of the Ford GT and the SVT Studio, Camilo Pardo, that reads “To my buddy Kid Rock ‘One for the road’,” as well as a signed guitar from Kid Rock himself. The auction website estimates the package deal will ring in about $500,000 – $575,000.

While we don’t know what exact number off the assembly line it is, the vehicle is suspected to be an early production model. Kid’s Ford GT does sport the Mark IV red paint color which was primarily used on the first 669 vehicles made between 2005 and 2006. Back then you could grab one fresh from the factory for $139,995. Powering the vehicle is a 5.4L supercharged V8 capable of producing 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque enabling a top speed of 205 MPH which was top of its class in its heyday. The Ford GT has been owned by Kid Rock its entire life and was designed with that 1967 Ford GT40 that took on Le Mans in mind.
