MEXICAN-MADE FORD SUPER DUTY 6X6 IS IF THE INCREDIBLE HULK WAS A TRUCK

We Don’t Think You’ll Miss It

Ford Super Duty 6X6

When it comes to the world of pickup trucks and SUVs, the ever growing number of six-wheelers doesn’t appear to be slowing down. We can all perhaps thank Mercedes Benz and their G63 AMG 6×6 for launching this trend into the mainstream, though other companies like Hennessey have surely helped in this sense. While you may have heard of the work done by the Germans on the Texans, we’d like to introduce you to this Ford Super Duty 6×6 built in Guanajuato, Mexico.

According to the folks at The Drive, the team at Colorss Motorsport are behind this highlighter-green Ford, and from what we can see, it is an absolute unit. The addition of another rear axle necessitates quite a bit of body and frame work, but the finished product looks to have been done to a high standard. The Huge fender flares and agro-armoured bumpers give this truck a go-anywhere look, which we suspect can be backed up by the high-end Ohlins suspension system underneath. The six Method Racing wheels wrapped in what have to be at least 40-inch Toyo Open Country rubber shouldn’t hurt.  This of course is as long as all six wheels are driven, because if not it tends to go badly.

Under the hood of this Ford Super Duty 6×6 sits a 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel V8 engine, which should make traversing rough terrain an easy task with nearly 1,000 ft-lbs or torque on tap. From the videos on their social media channels, it’s pretty clear this Power Stroke is sporting a straight piped exhaust. If the blindingly-bright paint job wasn’t enough to get people’s attention, the sheer cacophony of clanking metal and turbo sounds will.

The “T.Rex” as it has been deemed by Colorss Motorsport took the team over nine months to construct, as it is clear there is a lot of custom fabrication that went into this 6×6 Super Duty build. While we generally don’t see a lot of the custom cars that come out of Mexico, we can definitely get behind more trucks like this one.
