And It Won’t Break The Bank

With the addition of the Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel, you can finally get a diesel engine on all of Jeep’s core off-road models. They are the most fuel efficient engine choice in the lineup, and provide great torque, making them a compelling choice. Jeep wants to sweeten the deal with the Gladiator and Wrangler EcoDiesel, and has just announced they will offer them with a 2 inch lift kit straight from the factory, courtesy of Mopar’s Jeep Performance Parts (JPP). It’s no Ford Bronco Sasquatch Package, but it does allow customers the freedom to choose their own adventure, and that’s what Jeep is all about.

The Mopar Jeep lift kit includes four springs, four FOX shocks, front lower control arms, front and rear stabilizer links, front and rear bump stops, various fasteners and JPP badge. The result is that 2 inch lift, which brings a number of benefits beyond ground clearance.

Suspension articulation is up 18%, and the larger FOX monotone shocks boast better cooling, weight capacity and durability. The springs are supposedly tuned specifically for diesel engines, but Jeep didn’t say how they differ from lift kits offered on gasoline powered models. The kit is a direct bolt on, with no cutting or welding required.

The cost? A rather reasonable $1,495. All of the parts also come in the rather high quality and nice-looking custom wooden crate you see in the picture, which Jeep says is reusable. We encourage you to do so.

Lifting a Jeep and fitting larger diameter tires go hand in hand, so Jeep has thought of this too. For an additional $125, buyers can add the Mopar Vehicle Protection Custom Calibration option to reconfigure the speedometer to read accurately.

The kit is currently available for the Wrangler EcoDiesel, but you’ll have to wait to get the kit for the Gladiator until the truck goes on sale later this summer. The quality of the kit, and relatively affordable asking price makes this seem like a no brainer for anyone wanting to get more off-road capability out of their Jeep Gladiator EcoDiesel or Wrangler EcoDiesel, or who want to fit larger tires down the line.
