Pickup trucks are no longer solely the utilitarian work horses of the automotive world. In today’s market, trucks are rivaling luxury vehicles with equipment and tech, becoming capable off-roaders, and even have the horsepower to battle against our favorite muscle cars. In short, they’ve become an interesting amalgamation of all of our favorite vehicles. And while all three of Detroit’s automakers are entrenched in evolving and expanding the truck segment, perhaps no one is doing it better than Ram. The automaker has an extensive lineup of different special edition models, ranging from visual packages on up to the Hellcat-powered Ram 1500 TRX. Now though, MoparInsiders has shared some information about a new package coming to the Ram 1500 in 2022. Here’s what you need to know about the upcoming Ram 1500 G/T.
The Ram 1500 G/T
Available for the Sport, Rebel, and Laramie models, the Ram 1500 G/T package will provide customers with a nice mix of content that aims to increase the sporty side of the half-ton. Unlike some of the other visual packages we’ve seen in the past, the Ram 1500 G/T will also include some nice performance upgrades that tie the lower-tier models in with the bruising TRX. As far as the exterior goes, the package is said to include the Sport Performance Hood and some G/T package graphics. Performance wise, the package will include goodies like the Mopar Cold Air Intake, a 3.92 rear axle, and a new passive cold end exhaust system. That said, the real upgrades to the Ram 1500 G/T come on the inside of the pickup.
TRX-Inspired Interior
The Ram 1500 G/T includes the G/T Interior Theme, which brings a ton of upgraded hardware to the truck. The package starts with options like 8-way adjustable leather bucket seats with 4-way adjustable lumbar up front, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Behind the wheel you’ll find a pair of paddle shifters, which work in tandem with the TRX-style console shifter. Other interior tweaks include:

- Exterior Mirrors with Memory Settings
- Driver Seat with Memory Settings
- Radio/Driver Seat/Mirrors/Pedal Memory

- Rebel Mopar All-Weather Floor Mats
- Bright Mopar Pedal Kit
As of right now, we don’t have any pricing information to share about the Ram 1500 G/T package. This is of course due to the fact that Ram has yet to officially announce the truck at this time. Expect that to change soon however, as the new Ram truck package is said to be available as we move into the 2022 model year. As soon as we learn more details from Ram, we’ll be sure to update you all on this intriguing new pickup truck offering.
