Last year drag racer, mechanic, and automotive content creator Alex Taylor won the event. But for Roadkill Nights 2022, competitors will be using Dodge Direct Connection parts in building a drag-race machine under a tight deadline before bringing it to Woodward Avenue to go head-to-head on the strip. So while some familiar faces are returning for the Grudge Match this year, there will be some new additions to the lineup.

Dodge and MotorTrend have also announced the all-star lineup of automotive personalities competing in a bracket-style showdown where the winner will go against Taylor in the Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Match. Automotive content creators will include returning favorites such as Tavarish, Westen Champlin, and throtl. Meanwhile, there are five new additions to the cast: Christina Roki, Demonology, Corruptt Builds, Collete Davis, and David Patterson. Enthusiasts can follow the Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Match build projects on the Dodge Garage website.

The 2022 Roadkill Nights Dodge Direct Connection Grudge Match won’t be as easy as one might think. Last year, everyone quickly learned how vital getting traction is to street racing on Woodward Avenue. As a result, competitors will get some more challenges to the races as they will be given a Direct Connection crate engine that they can modify however they wish. However, they will have an additional challenge of competing with a Direct Connection six-speed manual transmission. The driver’s skill will play a significant factor in their success.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
