If you work in the automotive industry and you’ve got a secret project you’re working on, the close confines of an airplane probably isn’t the best place to do your work, as spies are always lurking around corners. A recent post on the Mustang7g forum showcases an excellent example of this as a 3D model of the upcoming 2024 S650 Ford Mustang RTR was leaked as an employee was working above the clouds.
S650 Ford Mustang RTR Spied: Details
The design is a bit scrunched on the screen. Still, we can easily make out the skirting for the S650 Ford Mustang RTR and the new grille that once again incorporates those triangular lights that fans of the pony car have absolutely adored. The rear wing is also prominent in the image, and together, the car looks exquisite, and as the name implies, it appears Ready To Rock.
Earlier this year, RTR Vehicles posted an image to its Facebook page showcasing a camouflaged S650 Ford Mustang that had been delivered to the RTR lab. The vehicle allowed the aftermarket company to get dimensions and come up with some idea of what they can and will do with the 2024 Ford Mustang. It’s clear from the leak on the forum that the company is taking significant inspiration from the S550 RTR Mustang, though we can tell there are some tweaks here and there to take the legendary car into the next generation.
We will likely see Ford Performance working with RTR to bring an even more capable car to the table. For example, the 2021 RTR Series 1 had a Track handling pack from Ford Performance for non-MagneRide cars, while Mustangs with MagneRide received the Ford Performance MagneRide Suspension kit. Whether they launch with a track-focused car remains to be seen, but the aftermarket accessories that change the appearance of the RTR S650 Ford Mustang looks to be exciting, and we can’t wait to see it released.
Keep a watch over your shoulder, RTR; you never know where spies are lurking.
