The leaves are beginning to change color in Michigan, and that means that the end of cruising season is upon us here in The Mitten State. However, there’s time for on last hurrah, and FCA Design made it happen with an official cars & coffee meet up that happened outside of the Maserati and Alfa Romeo North American offices this past Sunday in Auburn Hills.
All makes and models were welcome, but being an official FCA event, naturally it was Mopar muscle that dominated the scene. And being that FCA Design hosted it, there were quite a few unique concept vehicles on display. In the gallery you’ll find various Jeep Moab Easter Safari concepts such as the Wrangler 4Speed and Wrangler Sandstorm. Also present was the Dodge Challenger 1320 Concept from SEMA 2009, a Ram 1500 Rebel with Mopar accessories, and a 2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody with eye-popping orange brake calipers that was driven by Dodge design head Mark Trostle.
FCA also rolled out a pair of historical vehicles; a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T, and a 1969 Dodge Charger R/T.
Rain threatened the event, but the weather remained favorable all the way until the last Hellcat-powered Challenger peeled out of the parking lot. Overall, the meet up was well attended, and it’s great to see a local automaker like FCA take the initiative in providing a place for car enthusiasts to meet in an appropriate venue.
