2019 RAM 1500 GETS A HILARIOUS THROWBACK LIVERY FROM CANADIAN DEALERSHIP

Full Send!

2019 Ram 1500

September of 1993 was quite the time to be alive in the United States. Bill Clinton was finishing up his first year as president, and the music of Nirvana’s In Utero and The Smashing Pumpkins’ Siamese Dream dominated the airwaves during the height of the Grunge era. Television was populated by the likes of “Frasier” and “Seinfeld”, and this new fangled thing called the Mosaic Web browser was just starting to take off. While we often look back fondly at these cultural icons of the time, somehow we’ve all managed to forget the greatest Ram 1500 commercial of all time.

Before you go and tell us to salute eat our shorts, we realize this isn’t actually a Ram commercial that found airtime back in the early 1990’s. Instead, this wonderful video was created by Southside Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram & RV Centre in Red Deer, Alberta. While it is terribly difficult to pick just one star of this clip, that award likely has to go to the Ram pickup commissioned by the dealership known as the Full Send 1500. This white 2019 Ram 1500 wears an oh-so 90’s Quik-Stop coffee cup livery down its flanks and on the tailgate, as well as custom white wheels to complete its vintage style. Those into internet meme culture may also recognize this livery from the popular social media page F*ckJerry, which makes all of this even better.

Beyond the radical appearance upgrades, the crew-cab Full Send 1500 remains mechanically stock and features a 5.7L Hemi V8 mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. This particular truck was also optioned with the Big Horn Level 2 Equipment Group and the 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment display.

Unfortunately for those reminiscing for the early 1990’s, the Full Send 1500 is priced like its from the 21st century. The truck is currently listed for $59,253 CAD, or approximately $44,742 stateside. That price isn’t so bad when you remember that “You can fit so much ’90s into this baby,” as our new favorite mullet man says in the video.
