CT4-V Blackwing Dark Emerald Frost

Cavender Cadillac of Lubbock, in Texas, is currently selling an ultra-rare Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing in Dark Emerald Frost, which was a one-and-done color that was officially discontinued in January of this year. The dark green scheme was limited to 150 vehicles in total, 115 CT5-V Blackwings and just 35 CT4-V Blackwing sedans making it one of the rarest color applications out there. And with little signs of the hue returning, this matte paint is more than just a little special.

The color application was an almost $4,000 option ($3,925 USD to be exact), making it the most expensive of colors to buy for the CT4-V Blackwing, with the runner up (Infrared Tintcoat) priced at a more modest price point of $1,225 by comparison.

The downside? Matte finish is kind of a hassle to protect. You don’t want to run it through your local gas station car wash and you’re not supposed to use wax or polish as it can distort the sheen appearance. With that said, Cadillac does provide a special instruction manual on how to care for Dark Emerald Frost.

The Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing is the little brother to the CT5-V Blackwing. The former sports a twin-turbo 3.6L LF4 V6 capable of 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque, slightly more than the 464 hp the engine produced in the bygone ATS-V. The CT5-V Blackwing, on the other hand boasts the powerful 6.2L LT4 V8 to-date, producing a stout 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque.

This Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing for sale sports a 10-speed automatic transmission although a 6-speed manual was an original option as well. The car also sports black 18-inch wheels and carbon fiber body accents all around.

The Lubbock Texas dealership listing shares the Dark Emerald Frost CT4-V Blackwing has only 167 miles on the odometer and sports a Natural Tan leather interior. Listing price is currently set at $89,991.
