FORD BRONCO HYBRID MAY HAVE BEEN TEASED IN VIDEO

A Leaked Gauge Cluster Footage Gives Us Some Clues

Few vehicles have been leaked before their official reveal as much as the 2021 Ford Bronco. We practically knew everything about the vehicle before it was finally revealed, and there were very few surprises despite the massive amount of information on the SUV. But it looks like the new adventure SUV will keep up the leaks even after it’s been revealed, as a new video has popped up that hints at a Ford Bronco  Hybrid.

Yes, we aren’t even a week after the official reveal, and we already have new leaks. It comes from a video, posted by YouTube channel Input, shows a demo of the Bronco’s digital gauge cluster. It all looks very cool, but at 1:42 we see a quick glimpse at something very hybrid. Take a look:

A “EV Coaching” dial comes up, that seems to show when the battery is being charged. Many hybrid/electric vehicles feature regenerative braking, where the electric motors gain otherwise lost energy when slowing down to recharge the batteries. If a Bronco hybrid is indeed coming, it’ll likely have this function.

It also makes sense for a Ford Bronco Hybrid, with Jeep readying the launch of the Wrangler 4xe. We don’t know everything about this model, but it’ll probably employ the 2.0 liter turbo four cylinder along with a small electric battery pack to increase fuel efficiency, range, and have a small power gain too. Rumors indicate it’ll likely have around 31 miles of EV only driving range.

Also in the rest of the 2021 Ford Bronco digital display, we get a good look at all of the features and functionality it’ll have. It looks like it’ll change with the different GOAT driving modes, and show some useful off-road driving info. Pitch and roll angles, a compass, wheel angle, differential and 4×4 status, it’s all in there. It also has some of the daily features you’d expect in a digital gauge cluster, like media playback, phone information, plus the obvious speedo and tach.
