A Slightly Deeper Tone, But Not Too Loud

So you bought yourself a Ford Bronco, but aren’t too happy with the exhaust note it gives. Perhaps you want something that’s got a deeper tone, but isn’t too obnoxious. Take a look at the Kooks Street Series Axle Back Exhaust for the 2021+ Ford Bronco. Lethal Performance recently installed this on their 2.7L First Edition 4-door Bronco, and posted info on it to the Bronco6G forum.

The system gives a comparatively more subtle, deep-toned note that brings out the best in the Ford Bronco, yet remains discrete unless you want it to rev with some added throttle. The black, ceramic-coated tips blend nicely with the rear bumper. And, Kooks supplies everything needed to install the system as well as a custom exhaust hanger to counter the differences between the 2.3L and 2.7L models.

If customers aim to get a more discrete system, Kooks offers an Adventure Series Axle-Back, allowing higher surface clearance. The sound of the system should be relatively similar, though subtle differences will exist as the routing of the pipes is changed to make it a single exit system.

As for the Street Series Axle-Back Exhaust, the system seems to be pretty close to the OEM sound while still providing a bit of amplification, so a step up from the OEM look and note. As far as pricing goes, the Street Series exhaust is available for $892.50 currently, though it appears that the system is on sale as of the time of writing. The usual price is $1,050. If the high clearance Adventure Series is more your style, that’s available for $807.50 with the sale but is usually $950.

Kooks also states on the product pages that high demand and supply chain issues will cause delivery setbacks, and customers will have to wait beyond the usual 6 weeks to have their orders fulfilled.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
