The Ford Bronco Everglades is a special edition variant of the Built Wild SUV that has been confirmed for the 2022 model year. It will launch around the same time as the Ford Bronco Raptor, and will feature segment-first equipment. The Everglades name was confirmed officially on Ford’s own website, and teaser photos were published on The Bronco Nation, while also being teased by Ford employees on social media.
Official teaser photos have shown the Ford Bronco Everglades with a Warn winch, heavy-duty modular front bumper and integrated snorkel. It’s believed that these accessories are standard factory equipment, meaning that Ford Motor Company would have to validate the winch and snorkel through its rigorous validation process. With the addition of a snorkel, the water fording rating anybody’s guess. It’s unclear if the snorkel will become a Ford Performance Accessory. The winch is already available a la carte. The Bronco Everglades was also teased with its own set of heritage inspired wheels, and has only ever been seen in four door only with a molded in color (MIC) hard top.
The 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades is believed to be based on the standard Bronco Sasquatch model, and not the Bronco Raptor, which is much wider, features a fully-boxed frame, and has its own engine: a 3.0L EcoBoost V6. The Bronco Everglades is likely to maintain the standard width, standard C-frame, and either a 2.3L EcoBoost inline four or a 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine. Other details, such as suspension changes, or interior changes, have not yet been detailed.
