Jeep and Jeep Performance Parts are gearing up for the 56th annual Easter Safari hosted by Red Rock 4-Wheelers. The event is set to take place April 9th to the 17th, and Jeep has dropped its fourth teaser photo of what they plan to bring to the desert event. Judging by the language of the press release, and the image depicting a cab with just an A and B pillar, we’re guessing this is a Jeep Gladiator two-door truck, based on the wheelbase of the JL Wrangler SUV. The departure angle of this truck is said to be the same as the SUV, as well.
Teasing for the upcoming Easter Safari started over two weeks ago where Jeep shared a blurred out QR code resembling the body of a Jeep Gladiator. In addition to that the company shared a sketch of what was easy to tell was a plug-in hybrid Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe. Earlier this week Jeep threw out yet another teaser photo resembling the V8 powered Wrangler Rubicon 392.
The latest teaser poses the question; “Ever wonder what it would be like to combine the likes of a Wrangler and Gladiator?” The press release goes on to say that the brand is going to “reinvent” what off-roading really means and looks like. That could also mean that some sort of 4xe play is in the works here. Jeep has all-but-officially-confirmed that a hybrid Gladiator is coming. At the same time, Jeep recognizes that there’s strong demand for a Hemi V8-powered Gladiator. And while it could just be the editing effect of the teaser photo, there does seem to be a splash of Hemi Orange in the design, rather than 4xe Blue.
The teaser shot of this two-door Jeep Gladiator also appears to be affixed with high-rise fenders, which is in order to accommodate either 35 or 37-inch tires, at the expense of the daytime running lamp accent lighting. That hood is pretty bulgy, too. Perhaps the hood is just a new item Jeep Performance Parts wants to offer.
