The 2023 Ram 1500 TRX is heading down under soon. Local Ram dealers in Australia have been notified that production is about to spool up for the super truck and is expected to begin customer deliveries next month. The truck will be supplied via factory-backed importer Ram Trucks Australia.
Ram Trucks Australia is the only local distributor endorsed by the US meaning it must adhere to numerous safety, quality and engineering standards. On top of that, the vehicle must comply with strict Australian Design Rules requirements, including body clearances and noise limits. We know the TRX likes to roar, after all it’s one of the highlighted features on the Ram Trucks website.
The importer told Drive that the super truck had to be re-manufactured for right hand drive, a process that went on for 18-months and involved equipping the vehicle with over 500 individual components. A final price tag has yet to be determined but dealers are being told to expect to see the truck in showrooms in the coming weeks. The 2022 Ram TRX in America has a starting price tag of $78,890. Despite a mysterious price tag, the first batch of the Australian TRX is already sold out and wait times are as long as two-years to take delivery of their truck having over 300 orders in queue as of right now.
