SIX-WHEELED FORD SUPER DUTY FAILS TO DRIVE UP A HILL: VIDEO

Sad!

Ford Super Duty

A lot of times having more can be better. Few people wouldn’t love to have more horsepower and torque at their disposal, and most of us wouldn’t argue about having a few more vehicles outright. Recently though, it seems that people really want to have more axles and wheels on their trucks. We can all point the finger at Mercedes Benz and their ridiculous G63 AMG 6×6 for starting this madness, but the likes of Hennessey Performance and Chelsea Truck Company have joined the market as well. If you don’t quite have the cash needed to purchase one of those, and you are on the fence about building the home-brew six-wheeled truck of your dreams, please proceed to watching this video of a Ford Super Duty murdering some rubber while trying to make a fairly sharp uphill turn.

According to the Facebook post uploaded, the driver of the six-wheeled behemoth was just talking to the poster prior to the video’s recording about how the truck was a new purchase, and that it is “gnarly”. The fact that the truck’s owner has likely never experienced something like this literal uphill battle only makes the hilarity of the situation more potent.

With almost all of the trucks weight sitting on the front axle, largely due to the 6.0L Powerstroke V8 diesel we’re pretty sure is under the F-Series Super Duty’s hood, it isn’t all that surprising this home-built six-wheeler struggled to hook up out back. While this weight distribution issue doesn’t stop most trucks from handling simple driving tasks, the suspension geometry on this particular six-wheeled Ford Super Duty likely isn’t up to task. Add to the fact that the truck’s tires look rather worn over (the reason why is painfully obvious in the clip) and the whole situation starts to make a bit more sense.

While we are sure the owner of this Ford Super Duty six-wheeler was a little embarrassed about the whole scene they created, they can take solace in the fact that the video has only garnered 1.3 million views since it was posted a week ago.
