There are few people in this country who flaunt their wealth more than Hollywood A-listers. Whether they are buying a new luxury home, designer clothing, or the latest and greatest sports cars, chances are you are going to hear about it somewhere. But not everyone in Hollywood shells out cash for appearances alone, as one Sylvester Stallone can attest to. That is because the legendary actor just picked himself up a “lowly” Corvette. More specifically, Stallone snagged a 2021 C8 Corvette Convertible in Rapid Blue from the folks at Chevrolet Buick GMC Cadillac of Murfreesboro.
The news comes by way of the Tennessee-based dealers own Facebook page, where we have been treated to some shots of Stallone taking delivery of the car. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Dealership owners Bo and Jennifer Trivett personally delivered the new 2021 C8 Corvette to the 74 year old action star. In fact, Trivett even got to get a few photos of himself taking on Rocky in a classic match of fisticuffs. A moment we’re sure he nor his wife will ever forget.
Sylvester Stallone is no stranger to great sports cars. Over the course of his acting career, the Hell’s Kitchen native has owned some serious bits of metal. Highlights include a Ferrari F40, a Lamborghini Countach, a Bugatti Veyron and a myriad of other high-end machines. That is all to say that Stallone knows a thing or two about buying sports cars, and that the C8 Corvette obviously made an impression on the actor. There may be jokes to be made about an elderly American man and his new Corvette, but this man is Rambo after all. Perhaps he was taken by just how much of a bargain this new mid-engined ‘Vette actually is, not that his half-billion dollar net worth leaves much to be desired.
While you likely didn’t need another reason to lust after the 2021 C8 Corvette convertible, the fact that Sylvester Stallone owns one is all the more enticing. Combine that with the fact that this new Stingray is a genuine rival to Europe’s best, and it’s even harder to ignore. That said, we are willing to bet that Sly trades his new convertible in for the upcoming Z06 model once it makes its debut. That’s what we’d do with an unlimited budget, anyway.
