Lego continues to hit the mark with their automotive creations. MC&T has covered plenty of the coolest American builds Lego has to offer, like the Dodge SRT Speed Champions and Jeep Wrangler Rubicon sets. And while it’s not an official Lego set yet, it’s worth checking out this fan-created Lego Hummer EV. However, the latest and greatest creation from Lego is their new Technic Ford Raptor building set. It won’t disappoint.
Lego Technic Functionality
Like other Lego Technic sets, the focus of the Ford Raptor kit focuses on the full-functionality and authenticity of the real truck. That’s why it features the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine with working pistons that’s completely visible if you open the hood. It’s also got a full interior that’s easily accessed through all-four opening doors as well as a spacious truck bed and working tailgate. The truck can even be steered easily through a wheel located on top.
The 2021 Ford Raptor Lego Set Is Hefty
The Lego Ford Raptor isn’t a small project either; there are 1379 individual pieces involved. The build measures 16.5 inches long and is 7 inches wide. Thanks to the famous Lego Technic spring suspension, it sits impressively at 6 inches tall. If you look closely, you’ll notice that the truck is detailed extensively. The fat tires are accommodated by the black wheel arches which are a visible match to the real Raptor truck. The kit comes with plenty of stickers to make sure others know it’s not just some regular F-150. Even the headlights and taillights are matched almost perfectly.
If you’d like to purchase the Lego Ford Raptor, it’s available for pre-order on the Lego website and costs $99.99. Purchases are being limited to two sets per household. Why? The limited-run Lego sets like these are becoming more and more valuable, especially to resellers in the hype-beast community. Don’t miss out on the fun.
