THIS LINCOLN NAVIGATOR IS AN OFF-ROAD LUXURY VEHICLE

Why Is This The First Time We’ve Seen This Kind Of Build?

The current Lincoln Navigator is a great luxury SUV. Its 2018 redesign not only brought it in line with the mighty Cadillac Escalade, but surpassed it in many ways, forcing Cadillac to up their game for the latest generation. But, just like the Escalade, the Navigator isn’t an SUV for off-roading, but is meant for carrying lots of people and things in comfort and luxury, with a healthy dose of presence on the outside. You’ll rarely see them on anything more than the dirt road that leads to the lake house. But that hasn’t stopped one Navigator owner from transforming their SUV into one of the coolest off-road builds we’ve seen in some time, making it one of the most unique Navigator SUVs out there.

First the build was posted to @fab_lab on Instagram, where some of the process has been documented. It started life as a gray Lincoln Navigator, but has since been transformed into something entirely different. It’s been lifted, and features some massive 35 inch Toyo RT off-road tires with aftermarket rims. The owner said in an older post that it was currently sitting on a ReadyLift spacer kit, but they are trying to fit Fox coilovers eventually. The fender liners and running board were cut to make the setup run smoothly without rubbing. Other off-road parts include a Baja Forged front bumper to allow for greater ground clearance and a better approach angle.

This Lincoln Navigator has also been fitted with some cool overland parts, as that’s the vibe the owner was going for. Baja Forged also supplied the roof racks, and there are KC lights mounted across the front. There are also cowl lights, but it’s unclear where they came from. The owner also tinted the windows darker and swapped out all the silver chrome with gloss black. The result is the post below.

The owner previously daily drove a overland modified Ford Expedition, so the similarities between that and the Lincoln Navigator probably made the build a lot easier. In fact, the front bumper was an Expedition bumper made to work on the Navigator. If aftermarket parts are so interchangeable between the two FoMoCo SUVs, it makes us wonder why we’ve never seen a Navigator build like this before. Hopefully this one isn’t the last.
