The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro will soon launch the Shock And Steel Special Edition, but customers can go online right now and configure this new color package via the Chevrolet website. Albeit the Canadian one, with a caption that reads “See Dealer for Pricing.” With that said, we’ve previously reported on what you get:
The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro Shock And Steel Special Edition looks different based on whether the customer selects either the Shock or Satin Steel Metallic paint colors. Both will include 20-inch blade design aluminum wheels, and Carbon Flash painted outside mirrors. If Shock is the chosen color, a center stripe is silver. If Satin Steel, the stripe is Shock colored. Out back is a body-color winged spoiler, with a contrasting stripe keeping with the Shock/Steel theme. A black fuel filler door with a carbon fiber insert comes with the package, as do yellow-pained Brembo 4-piston front calipers. Black sueded knee pads are found inside the cockpit, as is a carbon fiber instrument panel frame, and premium carpeted floor.
The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro Shock And Steel Special Edition is available in both coupe and convertible forms, on the 2LT and 3LT trim levels, as well as the V8-powered 2SS trim level.
Chevrolet otherwise is offering plenty of new content for the 2020 model year Camaro, led but the new LT1 trim level (not to be confused with the 1LT, or the V8 engine that otherwise powers it – come on, Chevy, really?). The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro LT1 gives customers 455 horsepower courtesy of a 6.2L V8, but otherwise holds back on some of the content that can be found on the SS trim level, such as a different fascia from V6 models, while wearing less aggressive tires. With that said, it’s the most affordable V8 powered muscle car on the market right now, and might have been a reason for a Q4 sales turnaround the Camaro observed in 2019.
