The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban are huge improvements over the outgoing models. While the starting prices may be similar to the outgoing models at $49,000, the packages and options shoot the price up rather quickly, according to pricing first discovered by TFL. Even for a top trim High Country model, you can still add a special $5,000 package, getting the Tahoe to above $80,000. Say hello to the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country Deluxe package.
Starting with the new top of the line High Country trim level, the new Tahoe can be specced with a $5,605 High Country Deluxe package. The pricey package includes the air suspension, panoramic sunroof and max trailer options into one package. It also adds the power sliding center console (originally debuted on the 2021 GMC Yukon), an $350 option on other models LT and above.
By comparison, the 2021 Cadillac Escalade will start at $77,490 before options.
All trim levels of the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe can get four wheel drive for $3,000, a $565 max trailer package, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. LT, RST and Z71 models can option a rear seat media and nav package for $2,490. There’s also a blacked out badging package (standard on RST and Z71 models) for $250, and an optional “Glowtie” illuminated Chevy badge for $450.
Moving down the trim levels, the base LS model can get a $750 driver alert package, and front bench seat for $250. Options aren’t plentiful for this model. Because, oppositely of the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe High Country Deluxe package, it’s meant to be the budget option.
The LT model offers a $2,820 LT Luxury package that brings many options into one package, including driver alert package, memory seat/mirrors, power adjusting steering column, heated and power folding second row seats, and surround view camera. If you opt for the LT Signature package, you get everything in the Luxury package plus a panoramic sunroof and max trailering package for $5,865. The LT can also be optioned with a dual tone paint scheme, although it’s still unsure exactly what that looks like.
The sporty RST and off-road oriented Z71 models get a similar package structure as the LT, but by different names.
The Premier trim adds many of the options from the lower trims as standard, with a Premium package optional. For $4,485, it adds the max trailer package, panoramic sunroof, and adaptive cruise control.
Compared to the outgoing models, the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe keeps the pricing fairly similar, but many options locked away in packages. Especially on higher trim levels, this can cause the price to raise rather quickly. That being said, there is now more variety than ever in the trim lineup, and the new generation SUVs bring many improvements to the table.
