Now that the C8 Corvette is out and about, people are ready to make their stand out. Our first priority would be swapping out the rather lackluster stock wheels, but some people want to go way, way further than that. Enter Tra Kyoto, the Japanese parent company of legendary widebody companies Pandem and Rocket Bunny. Pandem has just announced a new C8 Corvette widebody kit, and it looks as wild as you expect.

Of course, the kit has the trademark bolt on fenders Pandem and Rocket Bunny are known for. But the kit goes wider still with some sort of black fender extensions and side skirts. Interestingly, the wheel arches adopt a squared off look, rather than the round design we are used to.

The kit also includes a rather vertical looking front splitter, which you should only get if you’ve specced the optional front nose lift. Out back, there’s a huge rear wing. The hoop design actually works quite well on the back of the C8, and we’d have a tough time choosing between this and RSC Tuning’s more subtle carbon fiber ducktail for best aftermarket wing.

The price of all this madness? $7,000 for the entire C8 Corvette widebody kit. You can also buy the parts individually, so customers can purchase in stages or only put some parts on their car. The prices are as follows:

  • Front Lip:           $1,000.00
  • Sideskirt:            $1,200.00
  • Front Fender:     $1,800.00
  • Rear Fenders:     $1,800.00
  • Wing:                 $1,200.00

These prices also significantly undercut another kit by Sigala design we have covered. They charge $14,995 to have their kit in fiberglass, and $24,995 for the whole thing in carbon fiber. If the bolt on look of the Pandem kit isn’t a turnoff, it’s a much better value.

Then again, does the C8 Corvette really need a widebody kit at all? It’s not like the design doesn’t turn heads wherever it goes as stock.
