Following the debut of the all-new 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing sedans, enthusiasts were quick to snatch up all of the 250 initial build slots for each model. And by that we mean all 500 allotments sold out in just a matter of minutes on February 1 once the ordering books went live. While we are sure that more than a few folks weren’t able to get their names on the list, you will now have another chance to take home these new track-focused machines. That is because the automaker has just announced that VIN 001 of each Cadillac Blackwing model is heading to Barrett-Jackson’s 2021 Scottsdale auction.

The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is the most powerful car that the automaker has ever produced thanks to its upgraded 6.2L supercharged LT4 V8 engine. In Blackwing spec, the motor pumps out a ridiculous 668 horsepower and 659 lb-ft of torque. This allows the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing to go from 0-60 mph in just a mere 3.7 seconds, before powering on to a top speed of over 200 mph. Even more exciting than the performance figures is the fact that both Blackwing sedans come as standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox. For those among us obsessed with chasing lap times, GM will also offer both cars with a track-tested 10-speed automatic gearbox.

Like the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, the CT4-V Blackwing carries the same engine as its predecessor, as we first reported. In this case that is a twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 engine, which now produces 472 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque. Despite being down on power compared to its larger sibling, the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing can go from 0-60 mph in a nearly-identical 3.8 seconds. That said, its top speed is only 189 mph, should that sort of thing matter to you.

According to Cadillac, 100 percent of the final hammer price of both sedans is slated to be donated to Black Ambition. This non-profit initiative seeks to help Black and Latinx entrepreneurs get their start-up companies off the ground, specifically in the tech, design, healthcare, and consumer products/services fields.

Barrett Jackson’s Scottsdale auction is scheduled to run between March 20 and March 27. Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing VIN#001 will carry lot #3002, whereas the CT4-V Blackwing will be sold as lot #3001. Be sure to head over to Barrett Jackson’s website for more details related to the auction and their new safety guidelines. If you weren’t able to reserve your spot for one of these corner-carving Caddys, now is the chance to fix that. Just be prepared to spend an exorbitant amount of cash for that privilege.
