C8 CORVETTE TAIL LIGHT KIT FOR FIFTH GEN CHEVROLET CAMARO: HOT OR NOT?

It Looks Surprisingly Great

One of the first design elements to look dated on a car are the head lights and tail lights. Vehicle lighting technology has been developing at a rapid rate, and practically every new car has some sort of slick DRL design and modern beam projector. This leaves cars made even just 5 years ago without LED lighting looking their age, but luckily the aftermarket is here to help with all sorts of lighting upgrades. But while many of the tacky or cheap looking options are mostly ignored by us, a set of C8 Corvette taillights for the fifth gen Chevrolet Camaro popped up on our radar, and they don’t look half bad.

These C8 Corvette style taillights are available on Auto Addict USA, and fit 2014 and 2015 models. This means they only work with the post-facelift fifth gen Camaro. They really do look almost identical to the C8 Corvette lights, with two LED running light strips on either side, and the brake lights and turn signals nestled in above them.

Auto Addict is selling them in a red and smoked clear version, so buyers can truly customize their vehicle look to suit their taste. These fifth gen Camaro lights list for $825, but are currently on sale for $724.98. The kit includes both rear lighting units and all the wiring necessary for a plug and play operation.

We also found a video by Savage Camaro on YouTube showing the install process of these tail lights, and lets us look at them in use. They appear to be an easy install, and look great on the car. They’re also impressively bright, giving better visibility than the standard halogen units that came on 2014-2015 fifth gen Camaro models. Our favorite part is that the C8 Corvette’s rear lights don’t look out of place on this application, and they give a OEM look that could come from a facelift, rather than the aftermarket. Check them out in action below, and let us know what you think in the comments!
