DON’T FORGET: IT’S ALSO LAST CALL FOR THE CHRYSLER 300

The Clock Is Ticking

2022 Chrysler 300

While many of us have been focused on the end of production for the Dodge Challenger and Charger in their current forms, we can’t forget that another legend is also leaving the stage this year—the Chrysler 300. What could be dubbed the first muscle car, the Chrysler 300, was built to offer customers speed at a time when cars weren’t all that fast. In 2023, it’s seeing an end to production as the brand turns its focus towards electrification.

Earlier this week, Dodge announced that the order books for the Charger and Challenger would close at the end of July. And, unsurprisingly, the same can be said for the Chrysler 300, with production ending for good by December 31st. That means, if you want to get your hands on one of these legendary cars, now’s the time to get your order in because the clock is rapidly ticking away.

2023 Chrysler 300C

Like Dodge, Chrysler released a special edition vehicle for this year to give the legend a proper send-off. This limited-production Chrysler 300C is spectacular, with a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 under the hood, producing 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. That enables the car to reach 60 mph in just 4.3 seconds and run a quarter mile in 12.4 seconds. With just 2,000 units available, it’s no surprise that this special edition car sold out in 12 hours.

What Will Replace The Chrysler 300?

As for what comes after the icon is no longer produced, an electric sedan will be on the way. The Chrysler 300 replacement was revealed during the recent Stellantis dealer meeting in Las Vegas. However, all attendees swore secrecy, so we don’t have any photos to better visualize what we can expect from this future vehicle. But based on what attendees have said, the sedan will have a similar layout to that of the new Charger. Chrysler doesn’t intend to eliminate the full-size sedan from its lineup as it is still competitive with other vehicles within the market. That said, if you want something that combusts internally, head to your local dealership soon while time remains.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
