1,300 HP DODGE CHARGER HELLJET IS HERE TO WAKE YOU UP

And It Was Built By Westen Champlin

We automotive enthusiasts really can’t get enough of a V8 roar and high power numbers. For many, the Dodge Charger Hellcat is the perfect solution to this desire for wheel-burning power. However, many wish to see even more ponies crammed under the hood of a muscle car which brings us to the Dodge Charger HellJet.

Dodge Charger HellJet: Absurd Power

YouTuber and Roadkill Nights contestant Westen Champlin and his team undertook a project to create a Dodge Charger called the HellJet. It starts off as an ex-police vehicle with its 370 horsepower 5.7-liter V8 removed and replaced with a Hellcat engine that produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. However, what makes this particular Dodge Charger build special is the supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 that also features twin-turbos added with the help of a Hellion turbo kit. Altogether, boosting the engine’s horsepower to a total of 1,300 ponies.

The Dodge Charger HellJet resembles that of a, you guessed it, jet. With its fantastic green matt paint job, HellJet logo, 777 numbering on the sides, and of course, the fighter-jet teeth just behind the front wheels. The wheels are in black, which pulls the majority of the attention towards the rest of the car. But the most notable exterior feature on this vehicle is the bullhorns at the front.

The entire build was done from scratch and certainly wasn’t a cheap project to undertake but well worth every penny. You can watch as Westen Champlin does a burnout inside a busy garage filled with exotic cars, people, and tools. In its wake is a cloud of smoke that clears before we get a look under the hood to see precisely what marvelous modifications have been done to create the Dodge Charger HellJet. Unfortunately, it seems all of this power does come at a price to the handling due to the aggressive boost from the turbos.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
