If you’re looking for a new truck and want to make some seriously epic memories, look no further than the Factory Five XT-1 Pre-Runner Truck. As you might know, Factory Five is a top-notch kit car company where you purchase the kit for a vehicle, they send you the parts, and you put the entire thing together yourself. While known for their pretty cool roadsters and hot rods, they’re not entering the truck market.

What Is The Factory Five XT-1?

The Factory Five XT-1 Pre-Runner Truck is a kit that offers customers with a 2015-2020 Ford F-150 the chance to tear their vehicle apart and turn it into something new and epic. With a complete tubular chassis, long travel suspension, and a super wide 90″ complete body package, you can transform your F-150 into an off-road beast, enabling you to create some pretty spectacular memories along the way.

The Factory Five XT-1 isn’t just a modified F-150 with fender flares and a lift kit. It gives the truck an entirely new chassis, a 17′ long foundation for the extreme truck. Instead of modifying the truck with an assortment of aftermarket parts, this frame is built for off-road punishment, so your truck will be an entirely different breed from others out on a trail.

As for the body, the XT-1 features massive 90″ wide fenders; which are 3.5″ wider than an H1 Hummer and 3″ wider than the 2023 Ford Raptor R. The custom hood, front end, and rear end are aggressive and functional with vents, fog lights, skid plate, and standard carbon fiber fascia. The tailgate is fully functional, and the rear bumper is steel and designed to take a beating during those rougher departures. As for the suspension, the front features strong tubular upper and lower control arms, high-performance remote reservoir dual-adjustable Fox shocks, and standard front sway bars. The front suspension travel with CV joints and 4WD is an incredible 16″. As for the rear suspension; the leaf spring is completely scrapped and replaced with a heavy-duty 5/16″ plate steel axle girdle that bolts to the Ford solid axle. The rear suspension also includes massive lower control arms, the size of your leg, as part of an integrated 4-link suspension. These high-performance remote reservoirs are dual-adjustable Fox shocks that deliver Baja-class 20″ of rear suspension travel.

The Factory Five XT-1 Pre Runner kit starts at $24,990. Customers must supply their desired tires/wheels and the 2015-2020 Ford F-150. Finally, they’ll also have to pay to get the truck painted. That is unless the carbon body panels are ordered, which are clear coated. If interested, you can check out the Factory Five website.

If you want an aftermarket Baja truck that’s more turn-key, however, perhaps take a look at the Chevrolet Silverado-based Blacklake XT1.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
