Two Wranglers With Unique Styling

2024 Easter Jeep Safari Concepts

From March 23-31, Jeep is hosting the 58th annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah, with four new eye-catching and mission-capable concept vehicles. Yes, this year, we are only getting four concepts, where some of the concepts can give a glimpse into the future of what Jeep could be, or what’s possible with a little bit of aftermarket touches. Compared to previous years, it’s fair to say Jeep has had more “wow” factor with older concepts, but with all the turbulance happening at Stellantis these days, there are bigger fish to fry. Below are the details of two Jeep Wrangler concepts for the 2024 Moab Easter Safari.

Jeep Wrangler Willys Dispatcher Concept: Details

Starting with the Jeep Wrangler Willys Dispatcher Concept, the team at Jeep Performance Parts wanted to create a 4xe-based concept that invokes the nostalgia of the early post-war civilian Jeep, with rugged, utilitarian looks juxtaposed with the electrified off-road capability of the modern-day Wrangler 4xe. On the inside, the Dispatcher gets a custom retrim in a mix of distressed saddle leather and houndstooth cloth inserts. The front and rear headrests have been removed to give the seats a vintage feel while passengers are kept protected from the elements with the assistance of a JPP bikini top.

On the outside, the Willys Dispatcher concept gets a retro makeover from the ground up. Super Traxion 36-inch tires are wrapped around vintage-style 16-by-7-inch alloy “steelies.” A custom old-school front bumper houses a brand-new, classic-looking 8274 Warn Winch. WILLYS lettering is embossed into the sides of the hood like beloved flat-fender Jeeps of years past. Finally, the exterior is painted in a custom shade of Element 115 Green, beautifully accented with cream-colored steelies.

Jeep Wrangler Low Down Concept: Details

Fifteen years ago, the Jeep Design team wowed attendees of the 43rd annual Easter Jeep Safari with the radically modified Jeep Wrangler Lower 40. This year, the new Low Down concept pays homage to that vehicle by squeezing massive 42-inch BFGoodrich Krawler 42×14.5 R20 mud-terrain tires mounted on 20-inch beadlock wheels under its custom high-clearance carbon fender flares. The stock Wrangler Rubicon 392 suspension remains intact, though Dana 60 axles with 5.38 gears replace the standard Dana 44 axles with 4.10 gears. Between the diameter of the tires and the shortening of the front and rear bumpers, the SUV’s center of gravity remains low while the ground clearance, breakover, and approach and departure angles dramatically increase.

The Jeep Low Down Concept’s body is coated in deep Poison Apple Red paint and features a custom carbon hood with a see-through over dome and a bespoke race-style fuel filler door located in the driver-side rear quarter panel. The vehicle is streamlined by removing the rear door handles. As for the interior, custom black leather seats with cloth inserts, Rhino-lined floors, and a custom radio-delete instrument panel accentuate the cabin. Finally, a purpose-built, red-tinted bikini top casts a warm red glow upon the interior compartment.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
