The Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400 is one of the wildest vehicles Ford Performance has ever created. Designed to be insane in every discipline, it screams, drifts and accelerates like almost nothing else. But unfortunately, there’s only one of them, and you can’t buy it. So Ford Performance and Vaughn Gittin Jr. set out to create another way to experience the emotion (i.e. terror) the Mustang Mach-E 1400 incites. And they ended up turning it into a hot sauce, creating a special blend with none other than Sean Evans from Hot Ones.
As you probably know, Evans’ job with Hot Ones involves interviewing celebrities with increasingly spicy sauces. Gittin Jr. showed Evans what he does too, by taking him for a ride around Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400, and this allowed them to collaborate their jobs to create this special hot sauce. Check out the video for it below:
The hot sauce tries to incorporate elements of the Mustang Mach-E 1400, so it’s extremely spicy, smoky and has “notes of charred Earth.” And in the video, it seems like both Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Sean Evans enjoyed it. But if you watched the video, you’ll know there’s a bummer at the end. A big one.
That’s the fact that Ford Performance and Evans decided their special hot sauce is not suitable for consumption or sale. This makes sense, as Ford is trying to say the hot sauce and Mustang Mach-E 1400 are both so extreme the public can’t use it. That makes sense for a one-off, stripped out, 1400 hp track car, but there’s no reason the hot sauce couldn’t be sold.
Chances are, if there’s enough interest in the hot sauce, Ford could sell it in a limited run. It could also be a fun gift for Mustang Mach-E customers, and Ford could give future GT customers a hot sauce with their purchase. But alas, this is probably just a one time promotion, and we’ll be left wishing to try the hot sauce and drive the Mach-E 1400.
