From the Baja Boot that can take on any terrain to building a supercar that passes crash tests without an airbag. What might be next? A military vehicle, perhaps? Enter the Glickenhaus 008 Fast Response Military Vehicle, which came out of discussions when the Boot was presented at the Equitus booth at AUSA. And we gotta say, it looks right out of the UNSC military vehicle fleet. Cue the Halo music.

Glickenhaus 008 Military Truck: Details

The renderings of the Glickenhaus 008 Military Truck posted on their Facebook page appear to couple the off-road features of the Boot with a similar shape to their supercar. If it wasn’t for the green paint job and minigun mounted to the top, we would think it’s a new Baja vehicle. The vehicle itself has an assortment of off-road lights to help light the way should the car take on terrain under cover of darkness. Massive tires wrapped around Beadlock wheels, a winch, underbody protection, and a roof rack piece together the SCG Military Truck. Given its purpose, we imagine that the glass would be bulletproof and the vehicle’s body would also be armored.

Glickenhaus revealed that they have Fire and LEO versions of the Boot expected to follow behind this vehicle. We can picture these vehicles being made a reality and used in their intended applications. The company didn’t mention what’s under the hood, but the current Boot can be had with a standard LT1 GM V8 engine, with a supercharged LT4 V8 as an upgrade. Then, of course, we have to mention the red seats visible inside the cabin of the truck, which appear to be racing seats and look quite comfortable.

What do you think of the Glickenhaus Fast Response Military Truck and the potential for other vehicles like it to be built for first responders? Given the capability Glickenhaus has managed to put within their Boot, we can certainly see the potential.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
