The Barrett-Jackson Car Auction is taking place at the end of this month, and there are a lot of excellent vehicles on offer. We previously mentioned that the first retail C8 Corvette Z06 would be sold during the auction, but that’s just one eye-catching vehicle. You can also own the first salable 2020 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible to roll off the line.

The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible #001 features a 6.2-liter V8 engine mated to a manual transmission; it has a clean record and surprisingly only has 291 miles on it. Alternatively, if the convertible isn’t your style, then you could opt for owning a 2020 Chevrolet Camaro SS #005, not necessarily the first off the lot but being in the top ten has to count for something. This one also has the same powertrain as the convertible as well as the same mileage.

But wait, there’s more…

GM Heritage Collection: Cars For Auction

GM Heritage Collection has a total of thirteen different cars that will be put up for auction, while the majority of them are an assortment of Corvettes from 2019 Grand Sport 3LTs to 2020 3LT stingrays; there are many opportunities this year to get hands-on some nice rides.

Stepping away from GM’s Chevrolet side, two 2022 Cadillacs will be put up for auction this year as well. The CT4-V Blackwing, which features a 3.6-liter twin-turbo LF4 V6 engine, is factory rated to produce 472 horsepower which comes standard with a 6-speed manual. Then there’s the centerpiece, the CT5-V Blackwing, featuring a 6.2-liter supercharged V8, rated at 668 horsepower from the factory and paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Out of all the vehicles GM Heritage Collection has on offer for the Barrett-Jackson auction, the one to watch will be the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro SS Convertible #001. We’re pretty certain being able to say that you own the first of that model year to be produced will be something many car enthusiasts would pay a pretty penny for.

Written by Zac Quinn

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
