Roadkill Nights Powered by Dodge is just a little over a week away, and it’s about to get a lot cooler as the event just announced that award-winning musician and actor, Ice Cube, will be headlining the day-long horsepower festival.

What Can You Expect From Roadkill Nights 2023?

This is the eighth year of the Roadkill Nights event making its way to downtown Pontiac, Michigan, to celebrate all things automotive. Though the location has been moved to the corner of Woodward Avenue and West Pike Street due to construction, guests will be treated to a day of family-friendly, adrenaline-filled fun, with a grand finale performance from Ice Cube, who will power up the crowd as he takes the mainstage to close out the day.

The Roadkill Nights festival will start at 10 AM EDT on August 12, 2023. The day-long celebration of horsepower and adrenaline will feature several thrilling activities, including the marquee street-legal drag-racing competition “Direct Connection Grudge Race,” along with a classic and modern muscle car cruise-in, Dodge Hellcat Thrill Rides, an all-new Dodge Hornet drive, Dodge Demon drag race simulators, Dodge vehicle displays including the Dodge Charger Daytona SRT Concept, Dodge product displays, Direct Connection performance parts, RC car demonstrations, a vendor midway, beer gardens, entertainment, food trucks, celebrity appearances and more.

The legendary Ice Cube’s performance will cap off the evening at 7:30 PM EDT on the mainstage as he performs for tens of thousands of gearheads in the metro Detroit area. Tickets to join in on the fun of Roadkill Nights are available now through the MotorTrend website. But, if you’re unable to attend the epic event, there’s still a way you can see the action as Livestream viewing for all drag racing events will be available starting at 11 AM EDT on various sites, including Dodge.com, DodgeGarage.com, Dodge’s YouTube channel, MotorTrend’s Youtube channel, and across MotoTrend’s video streaming service.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
