Jurassic World Dominion roared onto the scene this summer, earning $143 million in its opening weekend. Needless to say the Jurassic franchise is very much top of mind. That being said, an enthusiast decided to give a nod to the original with a custom Jurassic Park themed Ford Bronco. Who said Jeep gets to have all the fun?
According to a thread on Bronco6G forum the project started the night the Ford Bronco was unveiled. Progress posts made by Josh (JurassicFJ) tell us that he created the concept that same night. He used a four-door 2022 Black Diamond Bronco as the base, we presume he was lucky enough to order and take delivery before order books closed earlier this year. Order books for the 2023 Bronco will open sooner than you think though.
The Black Diamond Bronco was eventually vinyl wrapped to showcase the Jurassic colors but started off in Oxford White and came with a hard carbonized gray molded in color top according to the progress pictures shared on the thread. No performance upgrades to the power plant have been made thus far, the Black Diamond comes standard with Ford’s 2.3L EcoBoost engine capable of up to 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque. You can upgrade that to 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque by opting to spend an additional $1,895 for the 2.7L EcoBoost engine.
The latest of updates came on June 13th where Josh shared Rokblokz mud flaps were installed along with KC lights mounted using an upgraded v2 bracketing system. Also added were MandR lights in the openings of the modded bumper. Some vinyl color correction was also tended to. The Jurassic Ford Bronco does sit higher than the rest as it sports a 2 inch level kit with 18-inch RTX Baja styled wheels all wrapped in 35 inch General Grabber tires, making for a well equipped escape vehicle the next time you come across a dinosaur.
