Angry Pushrod Noises!

As the automotive world begins to restart production today after two months of delays related to the coronavirus pandemic, we might actually get to see a decent number of C8 Corvettes start to be delivered to their rightful owners. This isn’t just good news for the folks at General Motors’ headquarters, but for all of the companies that produce aftermarket parts for the often-modified sports car. One such company is LG Motorsports, who has just released a video showing off their upcoming C8 Corvette exhaust kit.

LG Motorsports are no strangers to the Chevrolet Corvette, as the company’s products have taken part in the Corvette Challenge Series, Trans Am, Grand Am Series, World Challenge, and American Le Mans GT2 division races. The Anna, Texas-based racers have gone on to capture a number of podiums and race records in their history, and take a great deal of pride in their racing background. While their new C8 Corvette exhaust system isn’t exactly built for the racetrack, it sure brings some of the noise you’d expect from a proper competition-minded Corvette.

Thanks to this video from their Facebook page, we get to see a comparison between the stock exhaust note and that of the LG Motorsports C8 Corvette exhaust system. It is clear that the aftermarket exhaust brings an added level of volume, while also further highlighting the LT2 V8’s booming and guttural tone. That glorious pushrod sound will certainly be missed when Corvette Racing gets back to action, as the C8.R carries a rather boring-sounding DOHC V8 set-up.

The C8 Corvette exhaust kit by LG Motorsports is not for sale quite yet, though we expect pricing information to come out soon. We know that the company is currently running a sale on fifth-gen Camaro parts to clear out some room in their warehouse for C8 bits, so we don’t expect to have to wait much longer.
