The new S650 Ford Mustang has just debuted. With it comes information on a vast array of new features, from advanced technology to a modern and sleek appearance that’s definitely poster-worthy. Even the heart of the vehicle has been upgraded as Ford introduces the fourth-generation of the 5.0L Coyote V8 engine.

S650 Ford Mustang Coyote V8 Updates

Powered by an advanced, 5.0L Coyote V8 engine, 2024 Ford Mustang GT is set to deliver the most naturally aspirated horsepower of any Mustang GT before it, thanks to an innovative dual air intake box and dual-throttle body design. Along with looking fantastic, the new design helps minimize induction loss by enabling higher air flow rates.

Ford has saved the manual transmission for a new generation, as well, and the 5.0-liter V8 continues to offer a standard six-speed manual transmission for customers who want a more direct connection to eight-cylinder power. The 2024 Ford Mustang GT with a manual transmission also includes standard rev-matching that helps hold engine RPM when the clutch is engaged. This retains peak torque between manual gear changes, delivering even more precision, thrill, and better refinement. And it makes you feel like you’re Dan Gurney. For those looking for something a little easier, an advanced 10-speed automatic transmission is available, and it almost instantaneously reconfigures its shift patterns to match the selected drive mode.

On a twisty back road or a weekend track day, the driver can quickly adjust steering effort, engine response, and transmission and electronic stability control settings through six available Drive Modes to create the perfect Mustang at any time. Additionally, the S650 Mustang GT has an optional Performance Pack, which adds a host of track-focused features, including brake ducts for even more enhanced cooling and a standard auxiliary engine oil cooler, so the new 5.0L Coyote V8 is at optimum temperature at all times, even on a race track.

Zac's love for cars started at a young age, after seeing the popular Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds. From there, fascination and enthusiasm blossomed and to this day the Ford Mustang remains a favorite. His first job started out detailing cars, but also provided the opportunity to work on restoration including an 1968 Ford Mustang, Pontiac Firebird, and a C3 Corvette, though he left that job before further work and experience could be had. From there, he was a detailer at a car dealership before quitting that job to try and finish college.

Much of his free time while studying was spent watching YouTube videos regarding new cars, or off-roading. 4WD247 is a personal favorite channel which rekindled a dying flame in car enthusiasm, now tailored towards trucks and SUVs and the fun that can be had building up an overlanding rig, and going on adventures, though, that chapter remains unwritten for the time being.
