Today, Dodge unveiled the all-new Dodge Charger, representing the first vehicles to debut the STLA Large platform. This highly flexible, BEV-native platform has the potential to carry extreme power. Thanks to its flexibility, the next-generation Dodge Charger won’t be exclusively electric. Dodge has announced that ICE versions of the cars will be using the Hurricane I-6 engine from Stellantis. On top of that, all models feature standard all-wheel drive, which should do wonders in terms of year-round usability and overall performance.

Four-Door Next-Gen Dodge Charger: Details
Two-door coupe versions of the all-electric 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona Scat Pack and 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona R/T will begin production mid-2024. Meanwhile, production of all-electric four-door Daytona Scat Packs and R/T models will start in the first quarter of 2025. But wait, there’s more!
As for the gas-powered models, customers can choose between the two-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK H.O. and four-door Dodge Charger SIXPACK S.O. models, which are scheduled to begin production in the first quarter of 2025. That means the four-door Hurricane-powered Dodge Charger will have less power than the two-door version, with just 420 horsepower, as opposed to the 550 that comes with the H.O. version.

While we don’t have exact specs for the four-door next-gen Dodge Charger, it’ll be similar to the two-door version as both the coupe and sedans feature a common wheelbase. Dodge didn’t make any announcements regarding the four-door version featuring the liftback hatch. Still, photos released of the car show that it will be a feature for the vehicle, meaning customers will get to enjoy plenty of space for further versatility of their future Dodge muscle cars.
Design-wise, the all-new Charger presents a distillation of muscle car through a modern muscular exterior that focuses on function, avoids excess, and subtly acknowledges inspiration from its predecessors’ clean, timeless lines. The Dodge patent-pending front R-Wing, exclusive to Daytona (EV) models, is a callout to the original Charger Daytona concept while enabling air to flow through a front pass-through area, enhancing downforce and creating a unique visual profile.

The all-new muscle car stands out with a pure widebody stance; the optional full-length glass roof (a gloss black painted roof comes standard) enhances the cabin’s open-air feel, and the larger rear hatch provides an expansive glass canopy. Finally, a selection of bold color offerings is a Dodge calling card, and this new car won’t disappoint with eight exterior colors, including After Dark, Bludicrous (late availability), Destroyer Grey, Diamond Black, Peel Out, Redeye, Triple Nickel and White Knuckle.
Pricing for the next-generation Dodge Charger two-door and four-door has yet to be announced, so we’ll have to cover that once the information is revealed. For now, get ready for the future of Dodge’s muscle, with modern tech, exquisite power, and some electrification thrown into the mix.
