Here’s Your Chance To Own Some Truly Unique C8 Corvette Bits And Pieces

Corvettes Affected by Tornadoes

A tornado ripped through Western Kentucky in December of last year. The Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant endured some damage from the storm including the demise of 122 C8 Corvettes. The vehicles have since been found being parted out on eBay.

Corvettes Affected by Tornadoes

While it’s unclear if all 122 C8 Corvettes damaged in the tornado destruction are being parted out, Corvette Blogger reports via one of its readers, that a good portion of un-driven C8 parts are being offered for sale. Generally speaking brand new cars have a few miles on them, the vehicles in which these parts are coming from show zero miles in some cases supporting the belief that these are the tornado Corvettes. If that wasn’t enough, some of the listings that feature full vehicle pictures show “X” marks on the windshield which was also seen on the aftermath photos taken by drone. The damage the tornado threw down was enough for GM to deem these pre-manufactured Corvettes undriveable awhile back, with some expected to be sent to the crusher. The tornado also managed to cripple the assembly plant bringing production to a halt for some time before kicking back into high gear with the anticipation of the 2023 Z06 to start production soon.

The parts themselves are listed under Stricker Auto Parts on eBay. At the time of this writing, there are five pages of parts for sale. Some of the highlights of the collection include a couple 6.2L LT2 V8 engines, which are capable of 495 horsepower and 470 Lb-ft of torque. There are also Multiple dash panels in a variety of color schemes as well as Brembo front and rear calipers in red and yellow as well as some wheel/tire packages to choose from. If you want to own a unique piece of Corvette history, or feature a conversation piece on your C8 Corvette, now may be the time to ante up.
