If there is one thing that is certain about Tesla Motors, it is the fact that you can always get company updates from Elon Musk’s personal Twitter. The South-African billionaire has always used social media to engage with fans, sometimes at the behest of investors and the SEC. According to a recent report from Inverse, Musk just used Twitter to let fans know that an updated version of the Tesla Cybertruck could make its debut before months end.

According to the report from Inverse, Musk took to Twitter to respond to a user’s question about the company’s new Texas facility. The new Gigafactory is slated to be the production facility of the Tesla Cybertruck, as well several other models and batteries. The exchange started with Elon touting the progress that has been made at the site, before the CEO went on to say that it will be an “asskicker”. When asked if the Cybertruck will share this denotion, Musk replied:

While Elon likening his upcoming pickup to a battle tank isn’t anything new, the design might be. A user reached out to ask the CEO if we might get to see an updated version of the truck as it approaches production, though the account has since been deleted. Regardless of this issue, Musk’s reply is still live on the platform. Musk stated that we can all expect to see an updated version of the truck within a month or so.

The electric pickup truck segment is heating up rapidly, with several legitimate Cybertruck challengers being announced since its debut event. The Tesla made waves when it arrived with its unmistakable styling, though that is the area most likely to see changes before launch. Tesla has already made their struggles known when it comes to reducing the size of the truck, thanks in no small part to the cold-rolled stainless steel bodywork. What this means for the production model has yet to be seen, though it’s hard to imagine that it will pass any pedestrian crash testing standards in its current form. Either way, we should get a better idea of what the truck actually looks like in the coming weeks. That is, if Elon’s Twitter is anything to go by. It would be almost a year to the day since its big reveal if so.
