Proline Racing has recently put a beautiful 1969 Chevrolet Camaro up for sale, featuring a Billet Water Cooled Block and Head 746ci Motor, 4L80E Transmission, Mark Williams Modular Rear End, and much more with the capacity to make 1,040 horsepower on FuelTech’s Hub Dyno. However cool this car is, it’s being sold for $237,500, and we can’t help but wonder, is it worth a quarter of a million dollars?
Quarter Million 1969 Chevrolet Camaro: Details
According to the listing, the engine was built by Proline Racing, while Century Transmissions built the transmission. The vehicle features two Nitrous Kits to give the engine some added potency when needed. Luckily, the car has yet to be sprayed by the nitrous, which means the buyer shouldn’t have to worry about the adverse effects on the engine that might arise from doing so, at least not until they do it themselves.
The chassis was built in 2019 by Rick Stevens Race Cars. It took hold of a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro to modify it, including a raised floor, removable door bars, Ron Davis Radiator, and an Electric Water Pump setup. The front suspension is from Menscer Motorsports, and the front wheels are 17″ Weld V-Series with 26/6/17 tires wrapped around them. Adding stopping power to the front of the car is 13″ TBM (The Brake Man). At the back, the 15×14″ Sanders Wheels are wrapped with 315/60/15 MT Street Drag Radials covering Mark Williams Brakes.
Finally, the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is finished in GM Cyber Gray Metallic. It took 18 months to complete all the paint and bodywork on the car. Interestingly, the listing doesn’t detail the number of miles on the car; luckily, there is a picture of the gauges showing 2217 miles as of when the image was taken. So, is this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro worth $237,500?
