Production of the Chevrolet Camaro has come to a close. Still, even as we bid the legendary muscle car farewell, it retains an extraordinary place in all of our hearts, and if you didn’t get your hands on the Collector’s Edition or the ultra-rare Garage 56 Edition, you may be able to grab a commemorative Camaro from Hendrick Motorsports.
Hendrick Motorsports 40th Anniversary Camaro: Details
If you didn’t know, Hendrick Motorsport was established in 1984, and since its founding, the company has earned a record 14 car owner championships in NASCAR’s premier division. The organization fields four full-time Chevrolet teams on the NASCAR Cup Series circuit, which is why these 40th-anniversary edition Chevrolet Camaros are so special.
The Hendrick Motorsports 40th Anniversary Edition Chevrolet Camaro will feature the radiant red tintcoat color. This custom graphic package includes 40th-anniversary branding and a unique owner’s kit with an invitation for a behind-the-scenes tour of the team’s facilities. That alone is pretty cool. But, like the Garage 56 Edition Chevrolet Camaro, where only 56 versions of this car would be built, Hendrick Motorsports will only produce 40 of these cars. While Hendrick Motorsports hasn’t disclosed which trim level of the Camaro these unique edition cars will be based on, photos showcase SS badging, and looking at the hood helps us discern that these vehicles will be the SS 1LE, the more track-focused version.
Each car will feature a number plate just underneath the front headlight and a badge on the steering wheel showcasing which car this is out of the 40 that will be produced. Unfortunately, it’s unclear how much these cars will cost, as of right now or when they will be available for purchase.
